User Experience DESIGN & product development
A design and product leader: I define and deliver user experiences for content-rich digital products on mobile, web and interactive television. I have experience establishing processes and building teams from scratch. I love crafting data-driven products that delight customers, and provide measurable results.
I am VP of Product, User Experience and Design for MikMak.tv, the first ever mobile video shopping network. MikMak for iPhone will land the App Store in early 2015. Get in touch with me if you're a designer, product manager or developer and you'd like to learn more.
Previously, I served as global head of user experience for Fab.com. I lead the design of Fab's consumer and enterprise-facing digital products including the site, native mobile apps, email & notifications, and e-commerce platform. I headed UX for the launch of their sister brand, Hem.com.
As product design lead at WaPoLabs—digital products incubator for The Washington Post Company—my work focused on building and directing a team of interaction designers, and steering user experience consumer products and B2B technology platforms for WPO’s family of media businesses including Trove, The Washington Post, Slate, The Root, Post-Newsweek Stations, among others.
I thrive on collaboration and am expert in product and experience prototyping, human-centered research, design direction, and working within engineering teams. Equally adept presenting to key stakeholders, advocating for users, producing wireframes or pixel-perfect visual designs. I earned a BFA in Communication Design from Carnegie Mellon University, an MFA in Design and MA in Visual & Critical Studies at California College of the Arts.
