User Experience Design & Product Development

A hands-on leader: I define and deliver user experiences across the web, interactive television and especially mobile applications. I have experience establishing design and product management processes and building teams from scratch. I love crafting data-driven products that delight customers, and provide measurable results. 

Previously, I was Head of Product at Venmo overseeing Product Management, Product Design and User Research while the business launched its monetization strategy and began deep integration into its parent company, PayPal. 

I led product management & user experience for MikMak, the first ever mobile video shopping network. I was responsible for the product roadmap and analytics, defining our user experience, and the day-to-day delivery detailed wireframes, interface mock-ups and assets. As Senior Director of User Experience for Fab, I oversaw the design all consumer-facing and enterprise products including Fab.com, iOS & Android apps, email & notifications, and our bespoke ecommerce platform. I launched the digital properties for Hem.com, Fab's private-label furniture spin off based in Europe.

From 2011 – 2014, I built and directed a team of product designers for WaPoLabs—digital products incubator for The Washington Post Company. My work focused on steering consumer products and B2B technology platforms for a family of media businesses including TroveThe Washington Post, Slate, The Root, Post-Newsweek Stations, among others.

I thrive on collaboration and am expert in product and experience prototyping, human-centered research, design direction, and working within engineering teams. Equally adept presenting to key stakeholders, advocating for users, producing wireframes or pixel-perfect visual designs. I hold a BFA in Communication Design from Carnegie Mellon University, an MFA in Design and MA in Visual & Critical Studies at California College of the Arts.
